👋 Hey there. I’m Katrina.
Thanks to my parents—who raised me in Southeast Asia and Hawaii while my dad was playing Captain Planet (working in natural resource management)—I have acquired a serious case of the travel bug. I spent my semester abroad in Cape Town, did the European backpack thing with friends, spent a month road-tripping through Iceland and Croatia with my husband. COVID and our first kiddo have put many jet-setting plans on hold but the new remote work revolution is making the future seem bright.
I also enjoy seeking out and exploring new places closer to home, getting out for a hike, or finding some water to float around in. Know of any hidden gems?
I've been supporting my travel habit with a design career that started in Seattle after I graduated from an AMAZING program at Seattle Central Creative Academy. The program's digital-first curriculum made it possible for me to jump right into a fast-paced agency that accelerated my skill-set and helped me gain experience working for large brands, like Microsoft, and small boutique companies worldwide.
Since moving back to Vermont in 2014 I've been lucky enough to work for Notabli, Parent Co., and (currently) Mamava as Design Director.
I have sharpened many skills as a generalist in my career—working on everything from branding, campaigns, website, mobile apps, and even industrial design—but I am very motivated to focus my trajectory on UX or product roles.
Cheers.
